Marketing Coordinator (part-time)

About the school:
The Deutsche Schule Melbourne (DSM) is an independent German­English bilingual school in Melbourne, located centrally in North Fitzroy. The school caters for families of German and/or English language backgrounds in the greater Melbourne area. Job tasks and responsibilities:
Deutsche Schule Melbourne is currently seeking a Marketing Coordinator to actively support the development of the school. You will be responsible for the development, planning and realisation of marketing concepts and strategies, PR and communications plans and develop marketing materials (digital and print), develop and manage website (Joomla) and work closely with board, leadership, teachers, parents and stakeholders as well as external partners. You will identify new marketing opportunities and be responsible for customer acquisition and business partners. As part of the PR role you will drive marketing events and the school’s Open Days. You will be responsible for the development and management of the marketing budget and support the Business Manager.

Your profile:
Ideally, you will have a degree in Marketing and at least 5 years of work experience in a similar role, as well as German and English language skills at a native speaker level. You will bring good analytical skills and demonstrated experience in implementing marketing and communication strategies. You work independently, are reliable and structured, and are able to work under pressure. Your approach is hands-on with high level of drive and integrity and you enjoy working creatively and in a team. Your interest in schools and education will together with your strong communications and organisational skills will contribute to the further development of the school. 

The following requirements must be met:

• current valid work permit/visa for Australia
• Degree in Marketing/Communications
• German/English language skills – native speaker level
• At least 5 years of work experience in similar role
• Current Police Check and Working With Children Check
